OTM SIG 2026: Connecting Transportation Planning to Execution

Transportation is becoming more connected than ever before. Organizations are investing in smarter planning, greater visibility, and real-time data to keep goods moving efficiently across increasingly complex supply chains. But one takeaway stood out during the 2026 Oracle OTM SIG conference in Minneapolis: even the best transportation plans depend on flawless execution.

For Inyxa, OTM SIG 2026 marked our first time exhibiting at the annual Oracle OTM User Group conference. Joined by our partners, Bar Code Integrators (BCI) and FEIG Electronics USA, we spent three days engaging with transportation professionals, Oracle users, and industry partners to discuss mobility, RFID, labeling, warehouse execution, and the technologies shaping the future of connected logistics.

The conversations were insightful, and several key themes emerged throughout the event.

Oracle OTM Powers Modern Transportation Planning

Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) continues to be a trusted platform for planning, optimizing, and managing transportation operations. From carrier selection and shipment planning to freight settlement and shipment visibility, OTM helps organizations streamline logistics while controlling transportation costs.

One interesting observation from the conference was the variety of enterprise environments supporting Oracle OTM. While many organizations rely on Oracle applications, we also met companies using OTM alongside other ERP systems, including SAP. It was another reminder that today’s supply chains often rely on multiple enterprise platforms, making connected execution and seamless data flow more important than ever.

EasyPick Connects Transportation Planning to Execution

Transportation planning is only the beginning. Once shipments are planned, warehouse teams must accurately pick, stage, load, verify, and ship every order on time. This is where execution matters.

EasyPick extends Oracle OTM with intuitive mobile workflows that help frontline teams execute transportation activities directly from handheld devices. Operators can complete warehouse tasks using barcode scanning, RFID, guided workflows, and real-time system updates—all while remaining connected to their transportation processes.

Instead of relying on paper, manual updates, or disconnected applications, organizations gain a streamlined execution experience that helps improve accuracy, increase productivity, and provide greater operational visibility throughout the shipping process.

By connecting transportation planning with warehouse execution, EasyPick helps ensure that plans created in Oracle OTM are carried out efficiently on the warehouse floor.

RFID is Becoming a Competitive Advantage

Among the technologies generating the most interest throughout OTM SIG was RFID.

Organizations are increasingly exploring RFID to improve shipment verification, inventory visibility, and loading accuracy without introducing additional manual scanning steps. As transportation operations continue to accelerate, automatic identification technologies help reduce bottlenecks while increasing confidence in every shipment.

For Inyxa, RFID has become a natural extension of the EasyPick platform. By combining mobile execution with RFID-enabled workflows, organizations can move beyond traditional barcode-only processes and achieve faster, more automated transportation execution.

Whether validating shipments, confirming trailer loads, or improving inventory visibility throughout the outbound process, RFID opens new opportunities for operational efficiency.

Connected Logistics Requires Strong Partnerships

One of the highlights of OTM SIG was the opportunity to collaborate with industry partners throughout the event.

At the Inyxa booth, we were joined by representatives from Bar Code Integrators (BCI) and FEIG Electronics USA to demonstrate how mobile software, RFID technology, hardware solutions, and implementation expertise come together to solve real operational challenges. These conversations reinforced an important takeaway: successful supply chain transformation isn’t driven by a single technology. It comes from the right combination of innovative solutions, trusted partnerships, and a shared commitment to helping customers succeed.

Looking Ahead

OTM SIG 2026 reinforced a simple but important idea: transportation planning is only as effective as its execution.

As supply chains continue to evolve, organizations are looking beyond planning alone. They want connected warehouse operations, mobile execution, real-time visibility, and technologies like RFID that help improve speed, accuracy, and operational efficiency.

EasyPick helps bridge that gap by connecting Oracle OTM with the people, devices, and technologies that keep transportation moving.

A sincere thank you to everyone who visited our booth, shared their experiences, and explored what’s possible with connected transportation execution. We enjoyed every conversation and look forward to continuing them in the months ahead—and to seeing everyone again at OTM SIG next year.
