How M-D Building Products Improved “On-Time and In-Full” Orders to Big Box Retailers with Inyxa EasyPick

M-D Building Products, based in Oklahoma City, has been a trusted name in building materials since the 1920s, serving major retailers like The Home Depot, Amazon, and Lowe’s. They deliver a wide range of products, from weatherstripping, door and window seals, floor transitions, and more.

Customer chargebacks caused by shipping discrepancy were reduced from 2.6% of sales to less than 1%

The Challenge

As M-D grew, so did the complexity of meeting each retailer’s exacting standards for On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) delivery. Order inaccuracies, picking inefficiencies and manual audits using Excel created delays and exposed M-D to penalties from retailers. Maintaining accurate and efficient order fulfillment had become critical to satisfy these top retailer’s expectations and requirements as a key supplier.

The Solution

To streamline their operations, M-D partnered with Inyxa and implemented EasyPick, a robust mobile transactions platform that targeted their pack verification and outbound auditing process. EasyPick’s features enabled M-D to scan and verify license plate numbers (LPNs) at each step, ensuring order accuracy and faster fulfillment rates with configurable audit criteria based on picker skill, customer priority, and other variables.

EasyPick’s intuitive interface empowers M-D’s team to quickly scan then approve or reject items on pallets while recording valuable data to track selector performance and accuracy.

The Results

Since implementing EasyPick, M-D has achieved a remarkable improvement in OTIF (On-Time-In-Full) scores, improved bulk order shipping accuracy from 68% to 99% and reduced costly chargebacks from top customers. This has boosted customer satisfaction and improved revenue numbers.

Inyxa EasyPick has transformed M-D’s distribution operations, making them a more reliable, efficient partner to major retailers.

“EasyPick allowed us to formulate work in a much more streamlined way. We were able to release orders at a higher pace, higher velocity, in smaller batches, while keeping the entire process running smoothly so that it didn’t bottleneck our operations.“
